Samuel is 2!!!

My precious baby Samuel is 2!

I have been saying that he is almost two for a while now, so it hasn't come as a surprise to me.  It just seemed like after he turned 18months that he started acting like a big boy.  So, today it is official.

Samuel is such a great little boy.  He loves his brother so much, he is always playing, he has a great vocabulary and he loves to play sports, cars, and trains.  He really excels in his motor skills.  He is crazy coordinated (he can punt the soccer ball and hit a baseball really well.) But, surprisingly he gets nervous while playing on certain playgrounds.  Samuel is sweet and cuddly.  He loves to give kisses and hugs randomly.  Patience is not his best quality right now.  In fact his favorite thing to say in the morning is "Drink!  Now!!"  Church has become increasingly difficult too.
He has been enjoying his alone time with Mommy and Daddy when Lucas is at school.  Samuel is starting to eat more of a variety (except he wont touch eggs and any sort of veggie...at all.)  He sleeps with Pluto, Donald, and blankie.  He loves to build towers with blocks and then immediately knock them down.  In fact, I see a destruction trend.  He destroys train tracks that we work so hard to build, Lucas' trains, and cars.  He has been pulling down his pants and trying to take off his diaper while saying "peepee!"  He may be getting close to being ready to be potty trained, but I am not.  Sorry Sam, Mommy has a busy Winter ahead.  We will probably start that in the Spring.

His measurements are:
wt: 26lbs, 2oz (25%)
ht: 34 1/4" (50%)
We have recovered from a long winter of illness starting with his scary virus last fall and followed by reoccurring ear infections.  He had tubes put in and we have him on a stronger dosage of allergy medicine and he has done great all summer.  Thank God!

At the hospital the day after he was born.

Almost a one year old.

18months

Almost two!
We are so incredibly blessed to have been given the gift of Samuel in our family.  He as brought so much joy and happiness to us.  We love you more than you know Samuel!  Happy Birthday!
