18...19 months

Samuel is a little over 19 months old!  I am a little late getting a post up for the big 1-8.

Samuel is such a fun little man.  He is full of energy.

Samuel has become quite the sleeper.  He is taking one long nap and sleeping through the night.  Ever since his adenoids were removed he has been sleeping more contently.  He wakes up like a teenager - really groggy and grumpy.  Usually he only wants me and his cup of milk.  I love that time that we get to bond together.

Samuel is talking so much.  He is learning a lot of language from Lucas including this conversation...
Me: Samuel, eat your grapes.
Sam: No! (meanly)
Me: Excuse me?!
Sam: What? (surprised)
Me: You do not speak to me that way.
Sam: okay...(happily)

He has also been saying "that's so funny."

Samuel sings in the car and when he really gets into the music he closes his eyes on the long notes...hilarious!  He uses drinks as comfort.  He still has his passy when he sleeps along with Donald and blanky.  He loves hiding when someone comes in the house.  Playing outside is one of his favorite things to do.  Samuel loves to read picture books and point out all of the pictures he knows.  He moos when we drive past cows.  He is so so so picky about food.  He eats edemame as his only veggie, but he could live on fruit.

Samuel weighs 22lbs 8oz.  He is in the 5th percentile in weight and 90th in his height.  Tall and skinny!

He is going to be such a good big brother.  I cannot wait to see him and Lucas with their new sibling.

We love you so much Samuel!  You are getting so big!  We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you!

Bonding Over Food

Today I was going through pictures that I wanted to post on this blog and I realized that four of the ones I wanted to share about the boys had to do with food.  I guess that that is the only time that I can get them to sit still enough to snap a picture or two.

These two are growing up so fast.  They are attached at the hip and follow each other around.  They love each other so much and are having so much fun together.

Fishing

Lucas and Brian finally got a chance to go fishing.  We only live one mile from the lake, but had had so much to do lately that we had a hard time squeezing it in.  So, Saturday morning, Lucas and Brian loaded up the jeep and headed to the water.

Samuel and I met up with them later and we brought food and distraction.  Lucas had been fishing for at least an hour.  It was so sweet to walk up and see they two of them having fun fishing together.

Priceless

We headed to the beach part of the lake a little later.  This was more of Samuel's thing.  Of course, he wanted to put lake water in his freshly tubed ears.
