13 weeks

If it wasn't for the irritating nausea and the extreme exhaustion I wouldn't even have time to think about baby number three.  I never thought I would say that.  How can a mother not think about her child?  The answer is, her two boys won't let her sit around and contemplate what size fruit the baby is equal to.  They don't care.  All Lucas wants to know is how to get the baby out.  He insists that I do not need to be there and he will take care of it for me.
Obviously I am not winning mother of the year for this kiddo.  I do hope to make it to the bookstore soon to pick up a pregnancy journal.  Even though it will start later in the pregnancy he or she shouldn't feel too left out right?

So, here is what is happening with our third precious little baby.  I am 13 weeks today.  I have seen our midwife twice now.  We had an ultrasound the first time and I got to hear the heartbeat last week.  It is so nice to hear that quick little heart working so hard in my belly.  It is one of the best sounds in the world.
Our baby is due on December 27th.  That due date is giving me a little bit of stress, but I have to let go and let God take control.  I know that my other babies will be happy no matter when the baby comes and that we will have one special baby to be born on or so near our Saviour's birthday.
We are planning to have our baby at OU Medical center with one of the OU Midwives.  We are so excited to get the opportunity to get to work with a great group of midwives that support natural child birth and work with the hospital so well.  It was the perfect scenario for our birth.
I had horrible nausea up until week 11.  My poor family fended for themselves while I refused to touch food.  Although, Lucas and Samuel found their love for corn dogs during this time.  I guess they didn't mind.  Now the nausea has subsided and I am feeling the second trimester goodness.
We will be finding out if we are having a girl or a boy this time.  That exciting news will happen in August.  Lucas has decided that we are having a girl named Leah.  But tomorrow it could be a girl named Becca.  It's kind depends on what kind of mood he is in.  He is going to be such a good big brother.  When we see babies he gets all gentle and sweet and talks baby talk to them.  I love it!

Well, I think that is it on the baby home front.  I cannot wait to continue to share baby news and to finally get to meet our new little miracle!

Boys Rule!

This is the welcome that I get if I enter into the "boys only" fort...

I get shot!  In my own house!!!  I cannot imagine if we have another little man.  I'm guessing that I will need some serious girl time from time to time.  Thankfully they still love to love on me and cuddle with me.  They are so so sweet.

Triple B - Big Boy Bed

This week Samuel graduated to a big boy bed.
We moved Lucas to his big bed when he was about 18 months old out of necessity because Samuel was about to arrive.  So, when Samuel's 18th month came and went Brian was asking when we were going to move him.  I was very hesitant because he is my baby.  I have been told that I baby him too much.  So, together we decided that if it worked for Lucas at this age we should try it for Samuel.

We went to Target to pick up some more bedding for the other bed and came home to start getting the crib down and the bed up.  Lucas decided that he wanted the new bedding which was fine with me because the new bedding looks more mature.  So, Lucas got new bedding and Samuel got a new bed.

That first night I was a little worried about what would happen.  Samuel is a crazy sleeper.  He moves a lot and I just knew he was going to fall off.  But, it has been over a week and we have had no problems at all.  He thinks he is so big.  He has even been taking his naps in there rather than in the spare room (we let the boys nap in different rooms for our sanity.)

I'm so proud of him.  I think he is proud of himself too.
