13 weeks

If it wasn't for the irritating nausea and the extreme exhaustion I wouldn't even have time to think about baby number three.  I never thought I would say that.  How can a mother not think about her child?  The answer is, her two boys won't let her sit around and contemplate what size fruit the baby is equal to.  They don't care.  All Lucas wants to know is how to get the baby out.  He insists that I do not need to be there and he will take care of it for me.
Obviously I am not winning mother of the year for this kiddo.  I do hope to make it to the bookstore soon to pick up a pregnancy journal.  Even though it will start later in the pregnancy he or she shouldn't feel too left out right?

So, here is what is happening with our third precious little baby.  I am 13 weeks today.  I have seen our midwife twice now.  We had an ultrasound the first time and I got to hear the heartbeat last week.  It is so nice to hear that quick little heart working so hard in my belly.  It is one of the best sounds in the world.
Our baby is due on December 27th.  That due date is giving me a little bit of stress, but I have to let go and let God take control.  I know that my other babies will be happy no matter when the baby comes and that we will have one special baby to be born on or so near our Saviour's birthday.
We are planning to have our baby at OU Medical center with one of the OU Midwives.  We are so excited to get the opportunity to get to work with a great group of midwives that support natural child birth and work with the hospital so well.  It was the perfect scenario for our birth.
I had horrible nausea up until week 11.  My poor family fended for themselves while I refused to touch food.  Although, Lucas and Samuel found their love for corn dogs during this time.  I guess they didn't mind.  Now the nausea has subsided and I am feeling the second trimester goodness.
We will be finding out if we are having a girl or a boy this time.  That exciting news will happen in August.  Lucas has decided that we are having a girl named Leah.  But tomorrow it could be a girl named Becca.  It's kind depends on what kind of mood he is in.  He is going to be such a good big brother.  When we see babies he gets all gentle and sweet and talks baby talk to them.  I love it!

Well, I think that is it on the baby home front.  I cannot wait to continue to share baby news and to finally get to meet our new little miracle!
