JoeJoe the turtle entered our life over the weekend. He was found at the fire department and quickly made his way into our lives. After hearing that turtles can make a person sick and that this specific turtle can escape his little box, I was adamant about getting him back to his home. Lucas loved JoeJoe and was excited about feeding him and holding him.
We took JoeJoe to meet Grandma and Pawpaw and Lucas had his eyes glued to the box the entire ride there.
Finally, it was time to let JoeJoe go home. Lucas and Daddy took him back. Later that day, we went to play at the playground and Lucas found JoeJoe again! Right outside of our door! I guess that he didn't want to leave. Now, every time we go outside Lucas asks for JoeJoe. He says "JoeJoe, where are you?" I'm assuming that this was the first of many JoeJoes that the Weatherford family will take in.
